4th SMU EDGE Conference

"BRIDGING THE GAP: ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN THEORY AND PRACTICE"

CALL FOR PAPERS

We are very pleased to announce the 4th SMU EDGE Conference, Bridging the Gap: Entrepreneurship in Theory and Practice. The conference is sponsored by the Lee Kong Chian School of Business, the Singapore Management University, and organized by the SMU EDGE Interest Group that involves academics related to entrepreneurship, enterprise development and innovation.

We invite papers that include empirical, conceptual, and case studies from academics, students, entrepreneurs/managers, and policy makers in the field of entrepreneurship. A blind peer-review process will select abstract submissions for presentation at the Conference. Selected papers will be considered for publication in the associated journals and books.

Abstracts are invited in all areas of entrepreneurship including:

There will be a special track on family business and a special workshop session for doctoral students.

All abstracts and papers should be submitted via this link.

Submission of abstracts (500-700 words): 10 June 2009

Notification of acceptance: 15 June 2009.

Submission of full papers: 30 June 2009
Full paper format

Rolling acceptance of abstracts: We will review abstract submissions and notify you of acceptance
within two weeks of receipt of abstracts.

For Regular Participants (Full Rate)
Conference Registration Fee for Early Bird (on/before 15 June 2009): S$600
Conference Registration Fee after 15 June 2009: S$700

** Please note that student rate is only applicable to FULL-TIME student participants. Participants paying student rate will need to present a supporting document to validate his/her student's identity to the organiser before/at the Conference. The supporting document should be in the form of a transcript or supervisor's letter. Participants who fail to produce such document(s) will be required to top up the difference between the full rate for regular participants and the student rate for full-time student participants.

Journals Associated With Conference

Journal of Enterprising Culture : Papers presented at the conference will be considered for publication in the Journal of Enterprising Culture.
