Completion
of the first phase of the development of the Corporate
Governance Intellectual Capital (CGIC) Archive. The completion
of this phase culminates the collection of corporate
governance data related to publicly traded firm listed in
Singapore from 1998 to present.
Unveiling of future developments
The second phase
of the development of CGIC Archive has recently been
instigated and will soon be incorporated into the CGIC Archive
site. The second phase will witness the incorporation of the
Intellectual Capital (IC) database. The IC database is
first-ever electronic source providing extensive details on
the intellectual capital performance of a large body of firms
within a prominent capital market.
Bridging Two Key
Disciplines
Corporate governance is a prominent issue in
Singapore (and around the world) whilst the nation's economic
base hinges on intellectual capital. Databases accessible to
users on this site will enable them to personally analyze
corporate governance features and intellectual capital
performance of publicly traded firms listed in Singapore on a
cross-sectional and longitudinal basis.
Ground breaking research
To date research on corporate
governance and intellectual capital issues have been treated
as if they were separate. Various points, however, highlight
the overlap between the two. Via rigorous and detailed
research both individually and in collaboration, the CGIC
Archive will be the first to extend a bridge to explore the
links between corporate governance and intellectual capital.
Formation of the Corporate Governance Database

The Corporate Governance (CG) Archive provides a
pivotal centralized depository for developing historical and
current corporate governance profiles of publicly traded firms
listed in Singapore. This database provides users one of the
only concentrated sites providing corporate governance data
not only in Singapore but the world.
